Quarter of a Century

Today is my birthday. Some of the fun things that occurred included: finishing all of my presentations for the semester, got home from school and got into my pajamas to read a book by the window with one of my favorite blankets, my parents brought me delicious cookie dough instead of cake, JD gave me flowers, letter, Tangled, and the entire day homework and computer free (he also arranged for me to have work off), we went to Bombay House for chicken pakoras, drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon into the clouds and snow, ate dinner at Ganesh, went bowling, and watched Tangled. Fantastic way to celebrate turning 25!

First Snow

I have been loving this rainy weather though it was strange walking out of class to see the mountain tops dusted with snow this afternoon, it kind of looks like powdered sugar. Once again: I love fall!

This is Fun?

This glass cubical has been my home for the past many hours today along with my wonderful partner Tiera. We have been putting together presentations, papers, group projects, individual reviews, among a great many other things all while trying to gear up for the upcoming events of Thursday and Friday this week where is all comes together. It is times like this where I question why I am doing this and why I ever thought that I enjoyed school enough to get a Masters. I know come Friday after 1:00 when I can officially celebrate my birthday without stress, all presentations done, all papers turned in, that my answers will change dramatically from how I am feeling now. Until then: this STINKS!

Sure is Pretty Up There

I'm famous! Apparently I also say things like, "It sure is pretty up there." Why yes, Roland, yes it sure is.

Alpine Loop

It is my birthday week this week and so far it has been amazing. We woke up early on Sunday morning and drove down to American Fork Canyon and went through the Alpine Loop. I am a sucker for fall leaves, especially down in that area because we used to have a cabin in Heber that was surrounded by bright yellow quaking aspens for my birthday. We listened to General Conference as we went through Heber, Park City, and Parley's Canyon. We had dinner at the Speth's, watched Conference at the Hewlett's where I got some amazing gifts from the family, and went back to the Speth's for the Miner family party. The night ended with a fresh box of peaches and shooting basketballs for about an hour with Sye and JD. Perfect.

The Sun is Hot

Check out some of the images being released from the Solar Dynamic Observatory project by NASA. It is pretty impressive, using ultraviolet light and other applications to image the sun and study it's activity.

October!!!!

It is October folks and I couldn't be more pleased. Here comes General Conference, my birthday, fall leaves drives, more decorating as I now have permission to pull out my Halloween stuff, I even get to decorate the pharmacy today, and celebrations all month long due to many family birthdays.
Birthday shout out to: Grandma Ada, Uncle Ken, Uncle Jeff, Cousin Kaytie, Cousin Cassie, Dad-in-Law Jeff, Cousin Kassie, Cousin Maggie, and no I do not refer them by cousin or dad-in-law in real life, it was more informational. Also, happy birthday to my friends since elementary school: Martin and Mitch.
